Transmitted Brightfield Illumination

This is one of the series on Illumination of fungae. Here the the illuminating beam is optimized for
resolution. The visibility of objects is sacrificed a bit in order to retain resolution. There are
a number of illumination options available that can increase contrast and retain resolution. Some of
will work well for a particular specimen and not for others. Looking at an object with with a variety
of illumination techniques will invariably add information about the object being viewed.
